Description
Learning from God’s Word helps us to answer the questions of what What
is the church? Is the church a building, a beautiful sanctuary, or an
organization? The Bible teaches that “people” who believe in Jesus
constitute His church. In this module you will learn the purpose and the
mission of the church as a living body of believers and why God wants it
here on earth.
Module Objectives
Upon completion of this module, you should be able to:

State how God’s plan for the church started.
2.
Describe what happened on the Day of Pentecost and the events that followed.
3.
State the biblical meaning of the word Church.
4.
Relate the role of the local Church to that of the universal church.
5.
Indicate the source of the Church’s spiritual life.
6.
Discuss how you can practice biblical fellowship and edification.
7.
Define sanctification and explain our responsibility in the sanctification process.
8.
Define the word evangelize.
9.
Explain the purpose of the ordinances of the Church.
10.
Describe what the Church does for God
